Cigarette lighter: Removal - Refitting

REMOVAL

I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION

• Remove the centre front panel side trim (1) .

• Remove the plate (2) from the gear lever (see Centre console: Removal - Refitting) (57A, Interior equipment).

• Remove:
  • the lower covers (3) from the centre panel on both sides,
  • the glovebox (see Glovebox: Removal - Refitting) ( 57A, Interior equipment),
  • the dashboard lower cover on the driver's side (see Dashboard: Removal - Refitting) (57A, Interior equipment).

• Remove:
  • the lower trims (4) from the centre panel on both sides,
  • the CD multi-changer (see 86A, Radio, CD changer: Removal - Refitting, page 86A-14) ,
  • the radio (see 86A, Radio, Radio: Removal - Refitting, page 86A-4) .

• Remove:
  • the starter control panel bolts (5) ,
  • the starter control panel (6) .
• Disconnect the connectors.

II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART CONCERNED

• Remove the cigarette lighter.

• Keep the plastic support unlocked at (7) using a small flat-blade screwdriver.
• Remove the cigarette lighter support in the direction of (8) .

• Remove the cigarette lighter socket in the direction of (9) by moving it in the direction of (10) using a small flat-blade screwdriver.

• Unclip the bulb support (11) by pulling on the clips (12) using a flat-blade screwdriver.

REFITTING

I - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART CONCERNED

• Clip on the bulb mounting.
• Refit:
  • the cigarette lighter socket on the fascia panel,
  • the cigarette lighter mounting,
  • the cigarette lighter.

II - FINAL OPERATION.

• Connect the connectors.
• Refit:
  • the starter control panel,
  • the starter control panel bolts,
  • the radio (see 86A, Radio, Radio: Removal - Refitting, page 86A-4) ,
  • the CD multi-changer (see 86A, Radio, CD changer: Removal - Refitting, page 86A-14) ,
  • the centre panel lower trims on both sides,
  • the dashboard lower cover on the driver's side (see Dashboard: Removal - Refitting) (57A, Interior equipment),
  • the glovebox (see Glovebox: Removal - Refitting) ( 57A, Interior equipment),
  • the centre panel lower covers on both sides,
  • the gear lever plate (see Centre console: Removal - Refitting) (57A, Interior equipment),
  • the centre front panel side trim.
