REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
- Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (02A, Lifting equipment).
- Set the wheels straight ahead.
- Remove the front wheel (see 35A, Wheels and tyres,
Wheel: Removal - Refitting, page 35A-1)
(35A, Wheels and tyres).
- Fit the pedal press on the brake pedal to limit the
amount of brake fluid running out.
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
- Undo the brake hose (1) at the union.
- Unclip:
- the union clip (2) ,
- the shock absorber clip (3) ,
- the brake hose.
- Remove:
- the brake hose bolt (4) on the calliper,
- the brake hose.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
WARNING
In order to not damage the brake hose:
- do not tension the hose,
- do not twist the hose,
- check that there is no contact with the surrounding
components.

Note:
The hoses supplied as replacement parts are
encased in a spring to prevent them from being
twisted during the refitting operation. |
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
- Refit the brake hose bolt on the calliper side.
- Manually pretighten the brake hose bolt on the calliper.
- Clip on:
- the brake hose,
- the clip on the shock absorber,
- the clip on the union.
- Refit the brake hose on the union side.
- Tighten to torque:
- the brake hose on the calliper (18 N.m),
- the brake hose on the union (16 N.m).
III - FINAL OPERATION.
- Remove the pedal press from the brake pedal.
- Bleed the brake circuit (see 30A, General information,
Braking circuit: Bleed, page 30A-4) (see
30A, General information).
- Refit the front wheel (see 35A, Wheels and tyres,
Wheel: Removal - Refitting, page 35A-1) (35A,
Wheels and tyres).
