REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
- Position the vehicle on a two-post lift .
IMPORTANT
To prevent the vehicle from falling, lash it to the
vehicle lift using a strap. |
- Remove:
- the engine cover
- the air resonator located on the rocker cover
- the air inlet sleeve
- the battery
- the battery tray .
- Remove the bolts (1) from the wiring bracket.
- Move aside the wiring and bracket (2) .
- Remove the air filter unit .
- Remove:
- the bolts (3) from the bracket,
- the bracket (4) .
- Remove:
- the engine wiring bracket nuts (5) ,
- the engine wiring bracket bolt (6) .
- Move the engine wiring bracket to one side.
- Refit:
- the lifting eye (7) ,
- the lifting eye bolts (8) .
- Torque tighten the lifting eye bolts (28 N.m).
- Remove the scuttle half-grilles.
- Position the (Mot. 1453) (9) .
- Position the trolley jack (10) under the gearbox
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
- Remove rubber pad nut (11) on the gearbox.
- Remove:
- the nuts (12) and bolts from the left-hand suspended
engine mounting,
- the rubber pad (13) from the left-hand suspended
engine mounting.
- Separate the gearbox from the left-hand suspended
engine mounting.
(A) Front of the vehicle
- Remove in the following order:
- the left-hand suspended engine mounting bolt (1)
on the body,
- the left-hand suspended engine mounting bolt (8)
on the body,
- the left-hand suspended engine mounting bolts (2)
, (3) and (4) on the body,
- the left-hand suspended engine mounting bolts (5)
, (6) and (7) on the body.
- Remove the left-hand suspended engine mounting
on the body.
- Remove:
- in order the left-hand suspended engine mounting
support bolts (14) on the gearbox,
- the left-hand suspended engine mounting support
(14) on the gearbox.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
- Refit the left-hand suspended engine mounting support
on the gearbox.
- Refit the bolts to the left-hand suspended engine
mounting bracket on the gearbox.
- Torque tighten in order the left-hand suspended
engine mounting support bolts on the gearbox
(45 N.m).
- Refit the left-hand suspended engine mounting on
the body.
(A) Front of the vehicle
- Refit the left-hand suspended engine mounting bolts
on the body.
- Torque tighten in turn:
- the left-hand suspended engine mounting bolt
(1) on the body (80 N.m),
- the left-hand suspended engine mounting bolts
(2), (3) and (4) on the body (80 N.m),
- the left-hand suspended engine mounting bolts
(5), (6) and (7) on the body (80 N.m),
- the left-hand suspended engine mounting bolt
(1) on the body (80 N.m),
- the left-hand suspended engine mounting bolt
(8) on the body (14 N.m).
- Place the gearbox on the left-hand suspended engine
mounting using the tool (Mot. 1453) or using
the trolley jack.
- Refit:
- the rubber pad on the left-hand suspended engine
mounting,
- the rubber pad nut (11) on the gearbox,
- the bolts and the nuts (12) of the left-hand suspended
engine mounting.
- Torque tighten:
- the bolts and the nuts (12) of the left-hand suspended
engine mounting (105 N.m),
- the rubber pad nut on the gearbox (65 N.m).
II - FINAL OPERATION.
- Remove the trolley jack.
- Remove:
- tool (Mot. 1453)
- the lifting eye bolts,
- the lifting eye.
- Refit:
- the scuttle half-grilles
- the engine wiring bracket bolt
- the engine wiring bracket nuts.
- Torque tighten:
- the engine wiring bracket bolt (10 N.m),
- The engine wiring bracket (nuts10 N.m).
- Refit:
- the bracket (4)
- the bracket bolts.
- Torque tighten the bracket bolts (28 N.m).
- Refit:
- the air filter unit
- the wiring harness bracket
- the wiring harness bracket bolts
- Torque tighten the wiring harness bracket bolts
(28 N.m).
- Refit:
- the battery tray
- the battery
- the air inlet sleeve
- the air resonator located on the rocker cover
- the engine cover.
