REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
- Position the vehicle on a two-post lift.
- Remove:
- the front right-hand wheel
- the front right-hand wheel arch liner
- the accessories belt
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
- Remove:
- the crankshaft accessories pulley bolt using the
(Mot. 1770) (1) ,
- the spacer,
- the crankshaft accessories pulley.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
| WARNING
Only use brushes with plastic or non-corrosive
metal (brass) bristles. |
| WARNING
Do not run the engine without the accessories
belt to avoid damaging the crankshaft accessories
pulley. |
- In case of reuse, clean the crankshaft accessories
pulley V-grooves using a brush to get rid of any deposits.
- The crankshaft accessories pulley bolt must always
be replaced with a new one.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
- Refit:
- the crankshaft accessories pulley by inserting it
into the two crankshaft flat surfaces,
- the spacer,
- the new crankshaft accessories pulley bolt fitted
with a washer.
- Position the (Mot. 1770).
- Torque tighten the crankshaft accessories pulley
bolt (50 N.m + 85º +- 6º).
III - FINAL OPERATION.
- Refit:
- the accessories belt
- the front right-hand wheel arch liner
- the front right-hand wheel

Wear protective gloves during the operation. |
REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
- Position the vehicle on a two-post lift.
| IMPORTANT
To prevent the vehicle from falling, lash it to the
vehicle lift using a strap. |
- Remove:
- the front right-hand wheel
- the front right-hand splash guard
- the front right-hand wheel arch liner
- the accessories belt
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
| Note:
This operation requires two people. |
- Loosen the crankshaft accessories pulley bolt using
the tool (Mot. 1878) (1)
- Remove the crankshaft accessories pulley using a
two-claw extractor for inside grip.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
- The crankshaft accessories pulley bolt must always
be replaced with a new one.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
- Refit:
- the crankshaft accessories pulley,
- the new crankshaft accessories pulley bolt.
| Note:
This operation requires two people. |
- Torque and angle tighten the crankshaft accessories
pulley bolt (42 N.m + 60º) using the tool (Mot.1878).
III - FINAL OPERATION.
- Refit:
- the accessories belt
- the front right-hand wheel arch liner
- the front right-hand splash guard
- the front right-hand wheel
