REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
WARNING
To ensure that the wiper arms can travel
smoothly, the wiper motor must be initialised. |
- Turn the wiper stalk from (0) to (1), and then from (1)
to (0).
- Switch off the ignition.
- Disconnect the battery (see 80A, Battery, Battery:
Removal - Refitting, page 80A-3) .
- Remove:
- the front wiper arms (see 85A, Wiping - Washing,
Windscreen wiper arm: Removal - Refitting,
page 85A-7) ,
- the scuttle panel half-grille (see Scuttle panel half-grille:
Removal - Refitting) (56A, Exterior equipment).
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
- Remove the bolts (1) from the windscreen wiper
mechanism.
- Partially remove the windscreen wiper mechanism.
- Disconnect the windscreen wiper motor connector
(2) .
- Remove the windscreen wiper mechanism.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
- Connect the windscreen wiper motor connector.
- Refit:
- the windscreen wiper mechanism,
- the windscreen wiper mechanism bolts.
- Torque tighten the windscreen wiper mechanism
bolts (5 N.m).
II - FINAL OPERATION.
- Refit the scuttle panel half-grille (see Scuttle panel
half-grille: Removal - Refitting) (56A, Exterior
equipment).
- Connect the battery (see 80A, Battery, Battery: Removal
- Refitting, page 80A-3) .
- Switch on the ignition.
