REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
- Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (02A, Lifting equipment).
- Remove the front bumper (see Front bumper: Removal
- Refitting) (55A, Exterior protection).
DISCHARGE LAMPS
IMPORTANT
To prevent eye injuries:
- do not look at a discharge bulb when lit (voltage
when lit 20000 V),
- do not light a bulb which has not been fitted into
its headlight.

IMPORTANT
To prevent burns, wait until the " computer -
power unit " assembly has cooled before removing
them. |
- Disconnect the battery (see 80A, Battery, Battery:
Removal - Refitting, page 80A-3) .
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
- Remove:
- the headlight upper bolts (2) ,
- the clip (3) .
- Remove:
- the headlight lower bolt (4) ,
- the headlight lower nut (5) .
- Disconnect the headlight connectors.
- Remove the headlight.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
WARNING
To avoid any humidity getting into the headlight,
check there are no cracks on the headlight
before carrying out the repair.
Replace all cracked headlights. |
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
- Connect the headlight connectors.
- Refit:
- the headlight,
- the clip,
- the headlight lower nut,
- the headlight lower bolt,
- the headlight upper bolts.
III - FINAL OPERATION
- Refit the front bumper (see Front bumper: Removal
- Refitting) (MR 416, 55A, Exterior protection).
DISCHARGE LAMPS
- Connect the battery (see 80A, Battery, Battery: Removal
- Refitting, page 80A-3) .
- Adjust the headlight beam (see 80B, Headlights,
Headlight: Adjustment, page 80B-3) .
