IMPORTANT
During this operation, be sure to:
- refrain from smoking or bringing red hot objects
close to the working area,
- be careful of fuel splashes when disconnecting the
union.

Wear leaktight gloves (Nitrile type) for this operation. |
REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
- Position the vehicle on a two-post lift.
- Disconnect the battery.
- Remove the windscreen washer bottle neck.
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
- Remove:
- the clip (1) from the fuel tank fuel vapour inlet hose,
- the clip (2) from the fuel vapour circulation hose
leading to the solenoid valve.
- Disconnect:
- the breather hose (3) ,
- the fuel tank fuel vapour inlet hose (4) ,
- the fuel vapour circulation hose (5) leading to the
solenoid valve.
Remove the fuel vapour absorber (6) from the fuel
tank retaining notch by pushing it in the direction of
the arrow.
- inside of the right-hand headlight.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
WARNING
The breather should not be blocked during normal
engine operation. |
- Refit the fuel vapour absorber (6) :
- if there are cracks and damage visible,
- if a fault arises during the following checking
procedure:
- block the take-off pipe (2) . Blow in the take-off
pipe (1) . Check that air circulates freely through
the take-off pipe (3) .
- block the take-off pipe (1) . Blow in the take-off
pipe (2) . Check that air circulates freely through
the take-off pipe (3) .
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
- Refit the fuel vapour absorber in the retaining notch.
- Connect:
- the fuel vapour circulation hose leading to the solenoid
valve,
- the fuel tank fuel vapour inlet hose,
- the breather hose.
- Refit:
- the clip of the fuel vapour circulation hose leading
to the solenoid valve,
- the clip of the fuel tank fuel vapour inlet hose.
III - FINAL OPERATION.
- Refit the windscreen washer bottle neck.
- Connect the battery.
