The engine flywheel is of the dual-mass type. |
REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
- Position the vehicle on a two-post lift.
IMPORTANT
To prevent the vehicle from falling, lash it to the
vehicle lift using a strap. |
- Remove:
- the gearbox
- the clutch disc and pressure plate.
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED

- Position the (Mot. 1431) (1) .
- Remove:
- the flywheel bolt (2) ,
- the flywheel,
- the (Mot. 1431).
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
- Always replace the flywheel bolts.
- Clean the engine flywheel bolt thread holes on the
crankshaft using SURFACE CLEANER.
- Degrease the pressure face of the flywheel on the
crankshaft.
- Check the condition of the flywheel.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED

- Refit:
- the flywheel,
- the new flywheel bolts,
- the (Mot. 1431).
- Tighten to torque and in order the flywheel bolts
(108 Nm).
III - FINAL OPERATION.
- Remove the (Mot. 1431).
- Refit:
- the clutch disc and pressure plate
- the gearbox .

- Remove:
- the gearbox
- the clutch disc and pressure plate.
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED

- Position the (Mot. 1431) (1) .
- Remove:
- the flywheel bolts (2) ,
- the flywheel,
- the (Mot. 1431).
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
- Always replace the flywheel bolts.
- Clean the engine flywheel bolt thread holes on the
crankshaft using SURFACE CLEANER.
- Degrease the flywheel bearing face on the crankshaft
with SURFACE CLEANER .
- Check the condition of the flywheel.
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED

- Refit:
- the flywheel,
- the new flywheel bolts,
- the (Mot. 1431).
- Torque tighten in order the flywheel bolts (25 N.m
+ 45º +- 6º).
III - FINAL OPERATION.
- Remove the (Mot. 1431).
- Refit:
- the clutch disc and pressure plate
- the gearbox .
